Writing prompt, articles, outline directions, and essay - aligns with Florida Literacy Test and upcoming FSA writing style. Students read three sources and use them to write on the proposed prompt in a simulated research informative essay. The articles are very simplified, so this is a great scaff.On last week's essay, only 8 students out of 49 wrote an essay that would have met the FSA writing test's minimum expectations. Many students are writing too little, with loose organization and little to no text based evidence. Please monitor your child's writing each evening and continue to encourage them.The articles were either too long, too hard, or too boring. Or they didn’t have enough evidence for students to use to construct an FSA-style essay. Since I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I ended up creating my own: They are available in my TPT store.
